[0001] Rotary spiral massager.
[0002] Technical sector
[0003] The present invention belongs to the sector of massage devices, it refers to a device for massaging the body by means of rolling systems assisted by a motor, producing the rotation of flexible discs creating spiral grooves on the surface to be treated.
[0004] Background of the Invention
[0005] Rolling devices for massaging the body are known, manual or assisted by a motor to produce the rotation of rollers or discs which friction and undulate the area that contacts the body, and therefore produce a massage on it. Sometimes these rollers or discs incorporate protrusions, normally semi-spherical, that act on the surface of the skin. All these devices produce a rolling on the skin generating radial or linear grooves, but never in a spiral. The function they perform is simple, to roll a body on the skin producing pulsating dimples. They are not capable of producing maneuvers, known in the art of massage, such as: kneading, clapping, pinching, vibrations, etc. Problems that come to solve the device that we recommend, due to spiral rolling and the effect of counterweights.
[0006] Explanation of the invention
[0007] Rotary spiral massager (1), has a multifunctional utility capable of minimizing the great effort required by massages with manual exercises, increasing efficiency. It is designed for private and professional use. Easy portability, manual use and to massage most parts of the body such as: legs, abdomen, arms, fingers, face, neck, etc. Only the accessory, head, with size and shape suitable for the area to be treated should be attached.
[0008] It is indicated for: exfoliation of the skin; massage to support the penetration and distribution of cosmetic products on the skin; as muscle massage and stretching or compression of muscles and skin, increasing their flexibility; as an aid to dissolve fat from cellulite and other pathologies that may be mitigated or eradicated with massages; as a reactivator of blood circulation; muscle relaxation; speeds up soft tissue healing, reduces muscle pain, helps alleviate stress, etc.
[0009] The effects it produces are the following:
[0010] ■ Heat through the friction of the discs in contact with the skin.
[0011] ■ Pulsations generated by the discs and these assisted by counterweights, producing a clap on the area to be treated.
[0012] ■ Kneading massage in the area to be treated, produced by the extension and compression of the skin and muscles in the area of contact with the discs.
[0013] ■ Skidding effect in the contact area produced by the non-tangency of each disc with the circumference of its own path, an effect that is used for exfoliation, traction and compression of the area to be treated.
[0014] The main advantages of this invention are summarized as follows:
[0015] • The skidding of the discs in a spiral trajectory generates an action on the muscles and skin forming a replica of their trajectory equivalent to the technique used by professionals, the centrifugal or centripetal kneading technique and the clapping technique.
[0016] • Large contact surface with the area to be massaged due to the flexibility and conical shape of the discs.
[0017] • Due to the flexibility of the discs, they produce a flutter in the area to be massaged, generating a sinusoid.
[0018] • Easy handling due to its light weight.
[0019] • Easy to build due to the simplicity of the mechanism.
[0020] • Versatility, due to the easy replacement of the head and the pressure-anchored discs by means of elastic systems.
[0021] • Possibility of putting two discs in opposition in each ring to increase the efficiency of the massage.
[0022] • Incorporating a single disc per ring, the user can orient the taper of the same towards the interior or exterior of the axis of the head.
[0023] The spiral rotary massager object of the invention comprises: a main body which houses a motor, an electronic control system, a battery, a speed control button, a proximity sensor and a switch for changing the direction of rotation. At one of its ends it has a projecting motor shaft to couple the interchangeable head.
[0024] • The main body performs the functions of housing the mechanical and control function elements, and as a device handle.
[0025] • The motor preferably with a gearbox with power and speed suitable for use. • The control circuit includes the necessary elements for speed control, direction of rotation and motor protection, it also controls the battery charge.
[0026] • The battery intended to charge the electrical energy to be supplied to the electronic devices and motor, in a way that facilitates manipulation, since no external cable is needed.
[0027] • The proximity sensor fulfills the functions of start, stop and security command. When grasping the device, it starts the head, turning in the preset direction, if the user stops touching the sensor, the head stops, the motor stops turning and begins to do it in reverse for a short number of turns in order to undo a curl, if it had occurred: by thread, by hair, etc.
[0028] • The head is press-fitted on the motor shaft, facilitating its replacement.
[0029] • The head comprises a plurality of arms at the ends of which a bearing is attached and a ring is inserted in the perimeter of the bearing, the ring in its perimeter part it has a groove as a throat which houses one or two flexible discs, depending on configuration.
[0030] • The disks can be of different perimeter configurations: crenellated, smooth, wavy, etc.
